You know me by my handle umtef. What you don't know is the reasoning behind the name, why it exists, and what it's here to do. In this corner of the internet, there's no need to pretend. This space will reflect my thoughts, ideas, and lived experiences - without masks or marketing. I am lost, by definition. And the word - umtef - is not random. In Swahili, it translates simply: lost. Whether you relate to that or not is up to you. I most definitely do. In an age of noise, filters, and distractions, finding purpose is difficult. That's why I'm here - detached from the meat suit, seeking meaning in the signal. This space is my own. A place to learn, confront challenges, and - ultimately - become someone that I am proud of.

In this dystopian world, there is little meaning to the existence in which one has. Many are subject to invisible ties to their phones, their social media and we neglect the fundementals of what life should be. I am trying my hardest to break free of these ties, I have seized all social media use, I am doing my utmost best to absorb as much as I can to become someone, the best version of me. One's best version is very personal, it's a lifetime of experience and we want to be like those that have been and gone. This is why this website isn't what you would expect in the age that we live in. I envy those that were exposed to the start of technology. At the glorious birth of the internet (and all associated parts) I was merely a boy. My interets lay in exploring the world around me through any means necessary. I am starting from the ground up, using my collective knowledge on skills that I have acquired through a period of time to achieve greatness. I have many routes to achieve this greatness and I am pursuing the self-development route through literature, trial and error, and the pure instinct to be better - that's my driving force.
